Role Overview
Recognition Media is looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Central Marketing team. If you’re an energetic email marketer who loves to bring order to chaos, solve fun problems, and make a real impact on business growth, we want to hear from you! As a key member of the team, you will own the development, deployment and analysis of important customer lifecycle journeys and experiments across all Recognition Media award brands, with the goal of iterating and optimizing our email channel performance. 

This is a full-time, hybrid role in our NYC Flatiron office, reporting to our Director of Retention. The ideal candidate will be creative and data-informed, using the myriad of insights and information available on our platform to inspire creative ideas for new campaigns, experimentation and testing, and excel at communicating results and analysis to key business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
– Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to design, test and execute best-in-class customer lifecycle marketing campaigns
– Leverage data to develop and communicate performance insights with recommendations to optimize company-wide email marketing strategy
– Create a framework for A/B testing, accelerate experimentation across the company and iterate based on results
– Evangelize and promote innovative marketing at the intersection of creativity and data within the company
– Own email marketing reporting ecosystem, including generating weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting on request. 
– Optimize existing data flows by funneling in user data from various external sources into our ESP. 
– Manage deliverability best practices across all subdomains
– Partner with Salesforce Admin/Analyst to generate custom reporting across key email segments. 
– Investigate and architect solutions for the Retention team to improve visibility into email contacts, performance, volumes etc. 
– Triage and pursue solutions for edge-cases across manual and automated email comms. 
– Automate everything – data extensions, reporting, notifications and of course, email campaigns. 

Requirements
– 2-4 years of email and lifecycle marketing experience; proven track record of developing lifecycle and email marketing strategies (B2B and/or startup experience a plus)
– Hands-on experience with CRM and/or marketing automation software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred, or Klaviyo, Iterable, or similar)
– Experience owning marketing data infrastructure, including building custom email campaign performance reporting, generating complex audience segments and automating reporting solutions.  
– Problem solver – thinks critically to translate data insights into actionable marketing recommendations and/or hypotheses
– Adept at building trusted, collaborative relationships with business stakeholders to ideate, test, learn, and optimize performance
– Highly organized, excellent project management skills and comfortable using workflow software
– Proficiency with SQL is a must; HTML and/or Python a plus

– $75,000 annual salary
